California Rain

It has actually been raining in southern California since last night, something that does not happen here all that often. We have not had rain for a very long time, so actually getting some real rain and not just the “spit rain” that we normally get has been a real treat. There was even some thunder and lightning last night, which was especially cool since that *really* does not happen here… like ever.

Of course, the rain freaked everyone out, so Time Warner had to interrupt all of its programming last night for unnecessary “OMG SEVERE WEATHER WARNINGS!!!!” every 15 minutes. Really folks, it is just rain. The world is not going to end because water falls from the sky every now and then.

Of course, I am the one that is terrified of earthquakes and no one here can seem to understand that it is scary when the ground shakes everything to smithereens, so I guess I cannot say too much about the always freaky “sky water.”

"Sky water" sounds like some ancient Indian phrase that should command much respect.
