Science FTW

I bought a North Face hydration pack (link) last month for the long distance runs Megan and I have been doing to train for the Los Angeles marathon in March. I wish I had done some research on the internet, though, about how and, more importantly, how often, you are supposed to clean them. We missed our run last weekend for whatever reason, so I haven't used the hydration pack in two weeks. When I pulled it out this morning prior to running, I discovered an elementary school science project growing in the water pack and hydration tube. There's no way I can get the colony of creatures out of the tube without the official snake/brush thing, so it looks like I am off to Sports Authority to see if they have a cleaning kit.
