I'm in Los Angeles... again. This is the last trip, though. The boys finally hired someone to fill my position, although I think it must be a sick joke since the guy's name is Jose. I guess they really couldn't get along without me. Work has been relatively light this week; I had no major projects or anything to work on, so it has mostly been trouble tickets and the random nonsense that comes with working at a religious institution.
I played kickball on Monday with the usual suspects. Michael rented a field at the park so that the Ninjas and GFC could scrimmage. He invited me to come out and play but didn't tell anyone that I was coming. I'm getting used to the stares and "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE" looks, due to getting that response both weeks I appeared at the temple unannounced. I played for the Ninjas during the scrimmage but switched over to GFC after 5 innings after they lost too many people to field a team. I got the pitching bug and pitched a couple of innings. I think my pitching has gotten a lot better, so I'm excited to throw down in KC this season. From what I hear, there's only a couple of people that pitch overhand in KC and I doubt they pitch as hard/fast as I do. Basically, it's going to be awesome.
Also, quote of the week: "Here, touch the Silver Bullet!" -someone handing me a Coors Light.
