Team Fingerbang had a double header last night and won both games to the tune of 3-1 and 5-0. Fielding and kicking were a little off for everyone because of the heavy rain we experienced Wednesday and yesterday morning. I found pitching to be particularly difficult since it's hard to throw the ball when it's slick from the rain. It wasn't nearly as bad as last week, though, since the rains stopped early yesterday morning rather than raining through the games like it did a week ago.

I managed to achieve one of my goals for the season last night: hitting a player with a pitch and having the ball go fair. Some of the girls on the other team thought I was "mean" and "scary" for whatever stupid reason. I'm the only one in the division that throws full overhand, so maybe that has something to do with it. It's not even like the full overhand is that effective since the grass on the fields is 4 inches thick and the ball slows down significantly on the first bounce.

I have 5 more games to reach my other goal of striking someone out. Hopefully we'll get a rain-free couple of days so that I can show everyone what real pitching is.
