Law School Application Process

I e-mailed the assistant to the dean of admissions today of the school of law to see if I can set up an appointment. I have a few questions I would like to ask about the part-time program and how they handle internships and job recruiting for part-time students.

Edit: I have a tentative appointment next Monday!

Law School Application Process

I'm quickly finding out that there are a lot of hoops to jump through when applying to law school. In no certain order, here is what I have to do:

- Register with LSAC Completed 11/29
- Register with LSDAS Completed 12/2
- Register for the LSAT / Take the LSAT
- Request transcripts from all institutions I have attended
- Request two letters of recommendation
- Send application to the institution that I want to attend
- Send a resume to the institution that I want to attend
- Write a personal statement and send it to the institution that I want to attend

After all of that, I need to:

Re-register with FAFSA
Find any financial aid I can to pay for school

Whew... yeah, so that's a lot of work to be done in the next couple of months. Obviously the biggest hurdle is the LSAT, so that's my primary source of stress right now. I have one reference lined up and am working on securing the second, so hopefully that comes to fruition soon.

Double Edit: I faxed the transcript request forms to OU and OCCC before calling it a day.
