Guitar Hero Badassery

I’m desperately trying to catch up in my storytelling, but the longer it takes me, the further I fall behind which in turn makes me lazy and not want to write. Just so you have an idea of how far behind I am, today is December 19 and I’m just now getting around to talking about the weekend after Thanksgiving. Fortunately, nothing super major happened in the last, oh, month or so, but it’s really going to take some knuckling down to get caught up. Anyway, on with the story:

Saturday was pretty much a bust. Deidre was so hung over from the night before that we pretty much didn’t do anything for the entire day. Jeremy came down from the desert to watch the OU game with us – fortunately we won because he would have been very upset and that probably would have resulted in chairs being thrown through windows.

The post-game report probably isn’t interesting to anyone that isn’t in the know, but I feel I should say this: Guitar Hero II for game of the year. Jeremy bought a PS2 specifically so he could play Guitar Hero II; mainly because I forced him to play the first game a week ago. Knowing that he loved GH2, I was inspired to buy the game that minute, so off to Target we went so I could blow 85 bucks on the most incredible game of 2006. After bringing it home, we proceeded to play for a good… 5 hours straight. I’m pretty sure Megan and Deidre fell asleep at some point in there, but I honestly couldn’t tell you since Jeremy and I were rocking out the entire time.

Unfortunately, that’s all we did on Saturday. A relatively uneventful day, but sometimes you just have to take a break from all the fun.
